No . 1041, reports as follows :
The purpose of Communication No . 1041 is to recommend the
appointment of Mr . John J. Andrade, Sr . to the Board of Ethics .
Mr . Andrade , a republican from Hamakua, is a retired founder and
operator of the John J. Andrade Slaughterhouse . He will serve until
December 31, 1989 , filling a vacancy created by the resignation of
Mr . Donald Chang.
The appointment is being made in accordance with Section 14-5 of the
Hawaii County Charter .
Your Committee on Finance recommends approval of the appointment of
Mr . John J. Andrade, Sr . to the Board of Ethics .
