Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution
No . 279-87, reports as follows :
The purpose of Resolution No . 279-87 is to amend the Salary
Ordinance as follows :
Section 8 .09 (c ) . MAINTENANCE DIVISION. DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND
RECREATION
1 . Reallocate' one position of Veterans Cemetery Caretaker
WB-3 to Veterans Cemetery Caretaker/Equipment Operator
WB-4.
The reallocation would place the position in the proper classification
for the work being done . During the position description review
process, it was discovered that the employee spends a substantial amount
of time using equipment and should be placed in the equipment operator
series .
The Director of Parks and Recreation has certified that funds are
available to meet the obligation and the Director of Finance has
certified to the accuracy of the information and funds availability.
Pursuant to Section 3-14, Hawaii County Charter , interim amendments to
the Pay Plan may be made by resolution .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the in ent of Resolution
No . 279-87 and recommends its ad ption®
