Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution
No. 273-87 , reports as follows :
The purpose of Resolution No . 273-87 is to amend the Salary
Ordinance as follows:
Section 8 .09 (c ) . MAINTENANCE DIVISION. DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND
RECREATION
1 . Reallocate one position of Park Maintenance Supervisor
III FII-5 to Park Construction and Maintenance
Supervisor FI-9 .
A review of the position has determined that it is improperly
classified. The position is responsible for construction work on an
islandwide basis and as such , should be reclassified accordingly.
The Director of Parks and Recreation has certified that sufficient
funds are available and the Director of Finance has certified to the
accuracy of the information .
Pursuant to Section 3-14, Hawaii County Charter , interim amendments to
the Pay Plan may be made by resolution .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Resolution
No. 273-87 and recommends its adoption .
