Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution
No. 267-87 , reports as follows :
The purpose of Resolution No. 267-87 is to amend the Salary
Ordinance as follows :
Section 8 .08 (b ) . BUILDING DIVISION. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
1 . Convert one position of Civil Engineer VI SR-28 to
Civil Engineer VI EM-5 .
Section 8 .08 (c) . ENGINEERING AND SURVEYS DIVISION. DEPARTMENT
PUBLIC WORKS
1 . Convert one position of Civil Engineer VI SR-28 to
Civil Engineer VI EM-5 .
Both positions serve as assistants to the respective division chiefs ,
thus meeting the criteria for exclusion . The Director of Finance and
department head have certified that sufficient funds are available to
meet the increased obligations .
Pursuant to Section 3-14 , Hawaii County Charter , interim amendments to
the Pay Plan may be made by resolution .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Resolution
No. 267-87 and recommends its adoption .
