Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution
No. 246-87 , reports as follows :
The purpose of Resolution No. 246-87 is to transfer and appropriate
X40,000 as follows :

010-911-5912. 21-339 Miscellaneous Insurance Claims
Credited To:
010-131-5131.10-115 Special Counsel & Settlement of Litigation
The 340,000 transfer replenishes the Special Counsel and Settlement
of Litigation account of the Corporation Counsel for same amount
advanced earlier for payment of settlement of the Atwell vs . County
case (Civil 9044-3CC, and Civil 83-0794-USDC) .
Pursuant to Section 10-9 of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council ,
by resolution, may transfer part or all of any unencumbered
appropriation balance from one agency to another .
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the intent and purpose of
Resolution No. 246-87 and recommendts adoption .
