Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Comm. 880 reports as
follows :
Communication 880 from Police Chief Guy A. Paul requests approval to
receive 2 cargo trailers , valued at $800 each, 16 folding cots ,
valued at $20 each, and a 250-gallon trailer tank, valued at $1 ,000,
for the Police Department . The equipment is intended to be utilized
by the Hilo and Kona stations in their vice operations .
Pursuant .to Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter , the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donation.
Your Committee on Finance recommends acceptance of the donation and
that a letter of appreciation be forwarded to Mr . Richard B. Cole,
Staff Director of the National Narcotics Border Interdiction System.
