Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Comm. 863 from Parks
and Recreation Director Pat Englehard, reports as follows :
Communication 863 advises the Council of the donation of two park
benches for the Panaewa Rainforest Zoo Astronaut Memorial Project
from Mr . Kenneth H. Simons, Ever-Last Concrete Products, valued at
200 each which have been installed in the aviary.
Pursuant to Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donation .
Your Committee on Finance recommends acceptance of the donation and
that a letter of appreciation be forwarded to Mr . Simons .
