Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Comm. 858 from Parks
and Recreation Director Pat Englehard, reports as follows :
The purpose of Communication 858 is to recommend acceptance of a
Deagan Vibraphone valued at $1 ,000 and two carrying/storage cases
from Mr . John Hursey for the Hawaii County Band.
The Hawaii County Band and its Director , Mr . Dave Lorch, is most
pleased to be recipients of these fine gifts and will put them to
good use .
Pursuant -to Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter , the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donation .
Your Committee on Finance recommends acceptance of the donation and
that a letter of appreciation be forwarded to Mr . Hursey.
