Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication 835, -
reports as follows :
The purpose of Communication 835 is to recommend the appointment of
Ms . Helen Y. Yamada, a democrat from Puna, to the Liquor Commission.
The appointment will be for a full term which will commence on
January 1 , 1987 and expire on December 31 , 1991 .
Pursuant -to Section 7-3. 2, Hawaii County Charter, the Liquor
Commission shall be comprised of seven members who shall be
representative of the community and of the county geographical areas
of Puna, Kau, Kona, Kohala, Hamakua, and Hilo. Each shall serve for
a term of five years. Council approval is required.
Your Committee on Finance recommends approval of the appointment of
Ms . Helen Y. Yamada to the Liquor Commission,
