Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication 834, `
reports as follows :
The purpose of Communication 834 is to recommend the appointment of
Dr . William C. Bergin, a democrat from Kohala, to the Board of Ethics .
The appointment will be for a full term which will commence on
January 1, andexpire 1987 ex ire on December 31 , 1991 .
Pursuant •to Section 14-5, Hawaii County Charter , the Board of Ethics
shall be comprised of five members who shall be residents of the
county. Each shall serve for a term of five years. Council approval
is required .
Your Committee on Finance recommends approval of the appointment of
Dr . William C. Bergin to the Board of Ethics .
