Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution 241-87
reports as follows :
The purpose of Resolution 241-87 is to transfer and appropriate
$15 ,500 as follows :

BUDGET FORMAT STUDY $15, 500
Funds are being transferred for the purpose of establishing necessary
appropriations to undertake a Budget Format Study. Lacking a
mutually acceptable budget format, the Mayor ' s original budget
submittal is restructured annually by the Council which have created
problems in the recording of accounts in the accounting system.
The administration has expressed their concurrence that a budget
format must be established and that they are receptive to having a
third party' s proposal .
It is the intent of the study to develop a budget format which will
be acceptable to both the Executive and Legislative branches , thereby
eliminating disruptions to the fiscal acounting system.
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of
Resolution 241-87 and recommends adoption.
