Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Res . 235-87, reports
as follows:
The purpose of Resolution 235-87 is to amend the Salary Ordinance as
1 follows :
Section 8.04(c ) . TREASURY DIVISION. DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE
1 . Add one position of Treasury Clerk I, SR-12.
The new position is justified on the basis that the vehicle
registrations that processed during the past four fiscal years
increased up to 19 .2 per cent and continues to reflect annual
increases . Only seven vehicle registration personnel are now
available to process this extremely high volume.
Pursuant to Section 3-14, Hawaii County Charter, interim amendments
to the Pay Plan may be made by resolution.
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of
Resolution 235-87 and recommendsiadoption. •
