The purpose of Resolution 230-87 is to transfer and appropriate as
follows :

Funds for Fuels & Lubricants and Telephone expense were not budgeted
by the Civil Service Department; therefore, this resolution will
establish appropriations for these two expenditure categories . The
funds will be transferred from the department 's Mileage and
Subscription & Membership accounts . The telephone appropriation is
to pay for a private line for the Personnel Director .
Pursuant to Section 10-9 of the Hawaii County Charter , the Council ,
by resolution, may transfer part or all of any unencumbered
appropriation balance from one agency to another .
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the intent and purpose of
Resolution 230-87 and ecommenits adoption.
