Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 289, reports as
follows:
Bill 289 proposes to amend Ordinance 86-64, the Capital Improvement
Budget for Fiscal Year 1986-87, by increasing the appropriation for
the Traffic Signal - Palani/Post Office project by $165,000.
The purpose of Bill 289 is to increase the Traffic Signal - Palani/
Post Office project appropriation by $165,000 and to designate the
funding source from Contribution from Private Sources .
The total project cost is estimated to be $250,000, County' s share,
$85, 000 (Bill 288) , and the balance of $165,000 to be provided by the
Lanihau Corporation and the Liliuokalani Trust.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the proposed project and
recommends passage of Bill 289 on first reading.
