Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 262, reports as
follows:
The purpose of Bill 262 is to amend Ordinance 86-63, the Operating
Budget , by increasing revenues in the General Fund 's State Grants -
Hilo Tourism Promotion Account #3304. 21 by $100 ,000 and appropriate
same to the Hilo Tourism Promotion Account #010-161-5162.55-115 .
The $100 ,000 grant is earmarked to develop a tourism marketing plan
for Hilo and to promote the Hilo destination to visitors .
Pursuant to Section 10-8, Hawaii County Charter , the Council may
amend or make supplemental appropriations for the year up to the
amount of available revenues, by ordinance .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Bill 262 and
recommends that it pass first reading.
