Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 255, reports as
follows:
The purpose of Bill 255 is to amend Ordinance 86-64, the CIP budget,
by adding the following projects :

The monies for the projects shall be provided from the Bond Fund Fund
Balance Account #2271.00 . The request is being made because these
11 projects, which were previously authorized by the Council , have
lapsed according to Section 10-10 of the Hawaii County Charter .
The Finance Director reported that there is $4,255 ,559 in the Bond
Fund Fund Balance Account from which administration is asking that
$3 ,706 ,000 be appropriated for the projects , as listed. No decision
has been made on the use of the remaining fund balance.
Pursuant to Section 10-6 , Hawaii County Charter , the Council , by
ordinance and the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the entire
membership, may amend the capital budget for that year .
