Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution 207-86,
reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution 207-86 is to amend the Salary Ordinance as
follows:
Section 8.05. PLANNING DEPARTMENT
1 . Add one position of Planner V SR-24.
The new position has been recommended because of increased
development activity in West Hawaii (South Kona-North Kohala ). With
the majority of County-related development now occurring in West
Hawaii , the Planning Department 's workload has increased.
Pursuant to Section 3-14, Hawaii County Charter, interim amendments
to the Pay Plan may be made by resolution.
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of
Resolution 207-86 and recommends its adoption.
