Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution 202-86,
reports as follows :
The purpose of Resolution 202-86 is to amend the Salary Ordinance as
follows:
Section 8.14(d ). OPERATIONS DIVISION. DEPARTMENT OF WATER SUPPLY
1 . Add one position of Lead Water Meter Mechanic WF-9
The new position is justified on the basis that population increases
will warrant the need for this specialized position. This particular
trade is learned "in house" and requires extreme dexterity and
meticulous qualities . Because of these characteristics , advance time
must be considered for training purposes.
Pursuant to Section 3-14, Hawaii County Charter , interim amendments
to the Pay Plan may be made by resolution.
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of
Resolution 202-86 and recommends its option.
