Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution 201-86,
reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution 201-86 is to amend the Salary Ordinance as
follows :
Section 8.13. DEPARTMENT OF LIQUOR CONTROL
1 . Delete one position of Liquor Licensing/Educational
Officer SR-21.
2. Add one position of Liquor Control Investigator III SR-21
3. Add one position of Clerk-Typist SR-8 .
Items 1 and 2 have been initiated to more properly describe the
existing position. However , the incumbent of the position may assist
in the department 's education program.
The new position (Item 3 ) was justified on the basis that a
reorganization of duties have necessitated the position. The new
position will also incur the responsibility of recording the
enforcement division activities in addition to routine office
functions .
Pursuant to Section 3-14, Hawaii County Charter, interim amendments
to the Pay Plan may be made by resolution.
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of
Resolution 201-86 and ecom ends is adoption.
