Dear Chairwoman Poindexter and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Thomas Fratinardo of Council District 1 to the Salary
Commission. Mr. Fratinardo retired from the United States Marine Corp as a Sergeant
after 20 years of active duty. He subsequently joined the County of Hawai'i Police
Department where he worked as a Police Officer for 13 years. He is currently a talk
show host with a local radio station.
Mr. Fratinardo believes in giving back to the community and has generously volunteered
his time to many community organizations including being an assistant coach for the.
Kamehameha Schools Hawaii Girl's cross-country team, a mentor for the Hawai'i Youth
Challenge, member of the Laupahoehoe Advisory Council & Hawai'i Experimental
Tropical Forest, master gardener with the UH Master Gardener's program, Crime
Stoppers International, KCIF 90.3 FM Radio, Paniolo Estates Homeowner's Association
and much more.
Originally from New Jersey, Mr. Fratinardo has lived in Hawai'i for approximately 31
years. He states he is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, he will serve
to fill a term ending December 31, 2021.
