Re: Resolution for multi-year agreement
Section 3-18 of the County Charter requires the Legislative Auditor to conduct or cause
to be conducted, the annual financial audit of the County. Section 10-13 of the County
Charter requires the County Council to provide for an annual independent audit of the
accounts and other evidences of financial transaction of the County and of every county
agency and executive agency.
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the payment of funds for more than one fiscal year,
for an independent auditor, to be determined by the County's RFP process,to perform
services as indicated above for the Legislative Auditor. If there are any questions, please

B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The contract for the external auditors will expire per the annual audit fiscal year ended 6/30/2017 . Per
Section-3-18 of the Hawaii County Charter requires the Legislative Auditor to conduct or cause to be
conducted the annual financial audit of the County.
