JNsvose...' <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII •� '''-���'�� • STATE OF HAWAII <br /> E•OF-N.' <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 261 17 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR TO <br /> ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF <br /> HAWAIIAN HOME LANDS, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR THE <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII TO RECEIVE REIMBURSEMENT FUNDS FOR <br /> STREETLIGHT CONVERSION ON PROPERTY HELD BY THE <br /> DEPARTMENT OF HAWAIIAN HOME LANDS <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands for the State of Hawaii <br /> • ("DHHL") holds certain property throughout the Island of Hawaii, which includes <br /> various streets and/or roads that have streetlights; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County has been undertaking a project to convert all <br /> streetlight bulbs on the Island of Hawaii from low pressure sodium ("LPS") to light <br /> emitting diode ("LED"); and <br /> WHEREAS, DHHL has agreed with the County to have the streetlights on <br /> roads that are on DHHL property throughout the Island of Hawaii converted from <br /> LPS to LED, and to reimburse the County for this conversion; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes, Section 46-7, this Council's <br /> consent is required to enter into this agreement; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, in <br /> accordance with section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, that the Mayor of the County <br /> of Hawaii is authorized to execute, on behalf of the County, the agreement and any <br /> related documents with the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands for the State of <br /> Hawai`i. <br />
