Subject: Support for public shooting range
To whom it may concern;
I am writing to voice my support of a county-run shooting range.This is something that has been needed in Hawaii
County for a long time and would get a lot of use. We currently have no place to shoot besides hunting areas and the
Hawaii county trap and skeet range. Most pistols and all .22 rifles and pistols are not legal for hunting, leaving owners of
these firearms with no place to shoot them except on private property.Although this activity is legal under the right
circumstances it often results in complaints from neighbors and visits from the police to verify that the law is being
followed.A county range would give everyone a safe, legal place to shoot all the guns that we can't shoot on public land
or at the trap and skeet range. Please make this happen!
