Subject: Public shooting range
As a legal firearm holder I ask that the council grant such a project,we have a large amount of gun owners on this island,
some shoot and illegal spots or semi-legal spots like 16 mile marker up saddle and side road Steinbeck hwy.we have no
legal,SAFE place to shoot! I'd prefer gun owners to know how to shoot and safely handle their firearms than those who
just own them and shoot them illegally anywhere they deems suitable, I ask that the council look at Oahu and maui
ranges as a template of what can be done to allow Hawaii county to have a SAFE place for gun owners to use their
firearms... daily usage fees or membership fees can help aid cost of operations,future events can be planned for Gun
safety classes, and other informational type programs firearm related! I firmly support proposed big island firearm
range.Thank you
