Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 228, reports as
follows:
The purpose of Bill 228 is to amend Ordinance 86-63, the Operating
Budget, by increasing revenues in the General Fund 's State Grants -
Emergency Medical Service Account #3304.02 by $53,963 and
appropriating same to the Fire Protection - Motor Vehicle Account
#010-221-5221.10-449. 1
The original estimate for the EMS contract was $2.4 million; however,
the current negotiated contract has been awarded at $2,453,963
warranting the need to increase revenues by $53,963.
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Bill 228 and I
recommends that it pass first reading.
