Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution 196-86,
reports as follows :
The purpose of Resolution 196-86 is to authorize the lease/purchase
of an electronic facsimile telecommunication system for the Hawaii
Police Department.
The two-year lease/purchase agreement specifically includes one 495-1
telecopier , one 6065 P. C. , and eight 295 telecopiers at a total cost
of 120,149.
Pursuant to Section 10-11, Hawaii County Charter, any contract, lease
or other obligation requiring the payment of funds from the
appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year
shall be made by resolution.
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of
Resolution 196-86 and recommends its adoption .
