Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication 652,
reports as follows :
The purpose of Communication 652 is to confirm or deny the
appointment of Ms. Luana Lincoln to the Liquor Commission. An
independent from Kohala, Ms . Lincoln will serve through December 31,
1990 filling the vacancy created by the expired term of
Mr . Melvin Hewett. Ms . Lincoln is currently employed by Hawaii
Preparatory Academy as the cafeteria supervisor .
Pursuant to Section 13-4, Hawaii County Charter , board and commission
members shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council .
Your Committee on Finance recommends approval of the appointment of
Ms . Luana Lincoln to the Liquor Commission.
