Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 212,
reports as 'follows:
The purpose of Bill No. 212 is to amend Ordinance 86-63, the
Operating Budget, by increasing revenues of $145 ,000 in the General
Fund 's Drug Enforcement Account #3501.07 and appropriating same to
the Drug Enforcement Account #010-201-5218.41-115 .
The anticipated funds will come from the U. S. Department of Justice,
State Department of Health, and through the courts for law
enforcement of drug trafficking. The enforcement costs shall be
limited to the actual revenues received.
Pursuant to Section 10-8, Hawaii County Charter , the Council may make
supplemental appropriations up to the amount of available revenues by
ordinance.
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Bill No. 212 and
recommends that it pass first reading.
