Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication 636,
reports as follows:
The purpose of Communication 636 is to accept the gift of a Nolan
lift which enables wheelchair riders to be submerged into a pool .
Due to the success of the Mayor 's Committee on the Handicapped and
the Multiple Sclerosis Society with their fund-raising event, a Nolan
lift is being donated. The gift, which is valued at $1,741, will be
used by the patrons at NAS Pool .
Pursuant to Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts of personal property.
Your Committee on Finance recommends acceptance of the donation and
that a letter of appreciation be sent to the donor .
