Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication 634,
reports as follows:
The purpose of Communication 634 is to confirm or deny the
appointment of Mr. Teruichi Kohashi to the Fire Board of Appeals . An
independent from Hilo, Mr . Kohashi will serve through December 31,
1990 in place of Mr. Hiroshi Kasamoto whose term has expired.
Pursuant to Section 13-4, Hawaii County Charter , board and commission
members shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council .
Your Committee on Finance recommends approval of the appointment of
Mr . Teruichi Kohashi to the Fire Board of Appeals .
