Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication 620,
reports as follows:
The purpose of Communication 620 is to accept the gift of a male
German Shepherd. The three-year old canine named "Zak" has been
donated by Officer James Ferry. The dog will be used for narcotic
detection by the Vice Section in Hilo.
Pursuant to Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter , the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts of personal property.
Your Committee on Finance recommends acceptance of the donation and
that a letter of appreciation be sent to the donor .
