Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication 618 ,
reports as follows :
The purpose of Communication 618 is to accept the gift of a
15 .6 cubic foot used refrigerator .
The refrigerator has a value of $175 and will be donated by
Mr . Larry Sakamoto, dba Sakamoto Electrical Service & Appliance . The
Kona Criminal Investigation Section of the Police Department plans to
use the appliance to preserve perishable evidence for criminal trials .
Pursuant to Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter , the Council , on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts of personal property .
Your Committee on Finance recommends acceptance of the donation and
that a letter of appreciation be sent to the donor .
