Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication 601,
reports as follows:
The purpose of Communication 601 is to confirm or deny the
appointment of Mr . Anastacio B. Luis to the Civil Service
Commission. An independent from Hilo, Mr . Luis will serve through
December 31 , 1988 .
During public testimony, the Civil Service Director spoke in favor of
the appointment of Mr . Luis to the Civil Service Commission .
Pursuant to Section 13-4, Hawaii County Charter , board and commission
members shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council .
Your Committee on Finance recommends approval of the appointment of
Mr . Anastacio B. Luis to the Civil Service Commission .
