Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication 201 .1,
reports as follows :
Communication 201.1, as submitted by the Chairman and Members of the
Tax Review Board, contains the following items :
1) Report by the Tax Review Board
2 ) Minutes of its Annual Board of Review Meeting
3 ) 1985 Board of Review Hearings Schedule
4) Posted Notice for Filing Real Property Assessment
Appeals
5) Notice for Filing Real Property Assessment
Complaints
6) 1985 Joint Conference of the State and County
Boards of Review held on Kauai
The report (Item No. 1 ) provided by the Tax Review Board cites some
recommendations which they feel will minimize some of Hawaii County 's
tax appeal problems and is of particular interest to the committee.
In light of the above, your Committee on Finance recommends that the
Council refer this matter to the Administration to implement the
recommendations, as cited in the report, and that a summary of the
results be furnished for Council review.
