Your Committee on Finance , to which was referred Bill 197, reports as
follows:
The purpose of Bill 197 is to amend Ordinance 85-51, the Capital
Budget , by increasing revenues by $15 ,365 in the Contribution from
Private Source account and appropriating same to
Account #160-699-5696 .61-115, Kailua-Kona Sewerage System, Phase II .
The monies have been received from private developers who desire
sewer commitments and are required to contribute to the expansion and
improvements of the Kailua Sewer Treatment Plant . The funds are
planned to be used to mount a centrifuge onto a trailer for sludge
disposal .
Pursuant to Section 10-8 Hawaii County Charter , the Council , by
ordinance , may make supplemental appropriations for the year up to
the amount of available revenues .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Bill 197 and
recommends that it pass first reading.
