Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 183, reports as
follows:
The purpose of Bill 183 is to amend Ordinance 85-52, the Operating
Budget, by increasing revenues by $250 ,000 in the General Fund 's
Account #3609 .10 , Fund Balance from Previous Year , and appropriate
same to Account #010-131-5131.10-115 , Special Counsel & Settlement of
Litigation (David Bowman vs. County, Civil No. 8264) .
The monies will be used for settlement of litigation between
David Bowman and the County.
During Committee discussion, Bill 183 was amended by deleting the
Account No. , Function and Activity, and Amount sections listed in
Section 2 and replaced it with the following language:
Account No. Function & Activity Fund Amount
010-911-5911.83-339 David Bowman vs . County General $ 250 ,000
(Civil No. 8264)
Pursuant to Section 10-8 , Hawaii County Charter , the Council , by
ordinance, may make supplemental appropriations for the year up to
the amount of available revenues.
Your Committee on Finance concurs wit the intent of Bill 183 ,
Draft 2, and recommends t at it pa first reading.
