Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 171, reports as
follows:
The purpose of Bill 171 is to amend Ordinance 85-52, the Operating
Budget, by increasing revenues by $160 ,000 in the General Fund 's
Marijuana. Eradication Account #3301.95 and appropriating same to
Account #010-201-5218.36-115 , Marijuana Eradication .
The monies have been provided by the Federal Drug Enforcement
Administration for the Domestic Marijuana Eradication/Suppression
Program.
Pursuant to Section 10-8 , Hawaii County Charter , the Council, by
ordinance, may make supplemental appropriations for the year up to
the amount of available revenues .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Bill 171 and
recommends that it pass first reading.
