Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution 166-86 ,
reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution 166-86 is to transfer $250 ,000 out and from
Account #010-911-5911 . 13-341 , the Contingency Account , and
appropriate same to Account #010-911-5911 .86-341 , the Worker 's
Compensation Account .
Due to the average of $83 ,445 per month drawn on the worker 's
compensation account , the Finance Director does not anticipate the
current account to be adequate for the remainder of the fiscal year .
Pursuant to Section 10-9 , Hawaii County Charter , the Council , by
resolution, may transfer part or all of any unencumbered balance .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of
Resolution 166-86 and recommends its adoption.
