Your Committee on Finance , to which was referred Communication 463,
reports as follows:
The purpose of Communication 463 is to accept a canine gift recently
offered to the Police Department . The male , 27-month old Vizzla ,
will be used in narcotic detection in Kona'.
Pursuant to Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter , the Council , on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts .
Your Committee on Finance recommends acceptance of the donation and
that a letter of appreciation be sent to the donor .
