Your Committee on Finance , to which was referred Bill 156 , reports as
follows:
The purpose of Bill 156 is to amend Ordinance 85-52, the Operating
Budget , by increasing revenues in the General Fund 's Contribution
from Private Source Account #3607 .00 by $350 and appropriating same
to Account #010-523-5523.46-341 , Panaewa Zoo - Private Donations .
The monies have been donated by the Chiefess Kapiolani Elementary
School .
Pursuant to Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter , the Council , on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts and donations of money . I
Your Committee on Finance recommends acceptance of the donation and
that a letter of appreciation be sent to the donor ; further
recommends approval of Bill 156 on first reading.
