Your Committee on Finance , to which was referred Bill 155 , reports as
follows:
The purpose of Bill 155 is to amend Ordinance 85-52, the Operating
Budget , by increasing revenues in the General Fund 's State Grants
Food Stamp Prosecution Account #3304.13 by $8,445 .84 and
appropriating same to Account #010-271-5271 .51-115 , Prosecuting
Attorney Training Expenses .
The monies have been provided by the State for the prosecution of
food stamp fraud . The Prosecutor has requested the funds be used for
increased staff training.
Pursuant to Section 10-8 , Hawaii County Charter , the Council , by
ordinance , may make supplemental appropriations for the year up to
the amount of available revenues .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Bill 155 and
recommends that it pass first reading.
