Your Committee on Finance ,; to which was referred Bill 142, reports as
follows:
The purpose of Bill 142 is to amend Ordinance 85-52, the Operating
Budget , by increasing revenues in the General Fund 's State Grants -
Air Cargo Distribution Center Account #3304 .19 by $100 ,000 and
appropriating same to Account #150-461-5464 .06-341, Air Cargo
Distribution Center .'
The monies will be used to fund an Air Cargo Feasibility Study.
During Committee discussion , it was clarified that the study
authorized by the, State DPED was to be coordinated through the ,
Housing Agency. The Finance Director believed a mainland firm was
retained to conduct the study. The Committee requested the
Finance Director to find out exactly what information was expected to
be gained out of this study .
Pursuant to Section 10-8, Hawaii County Charter , the Council , by
ordinance , may make supplemental appropriations for the year up to
the amount of available revenues .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Bill 142 and
recommends that it pass first reading.
