Your Committee on Finance , to which was referred Bill 132, reports as
follows:
Operating
purpose of Bill 132 is to amend Ordinance 85 52, the p eratin
g
Budget , by increasing revenues in the General Fund by $39 ,833. The
grants have been provided by Federal Grants - Older Americans
Act-Area Project and is listed in Account #3301 .04. The bill will
also appropriate the same funds to the General Fund's Account
#010-411-5411 .10-115, Area Project on Aging .
The funds will be used to provide certain services related to the
implementation of the Title IV Hawaii County - Life Care Center
of the Hilo
Alzheimer Project which includes renovating a portion
the unit and installing a music and
Life Care Center , repainting 9
alarm system, landscaping and other improvements .
Pursuant to Section 10-8, Hawaii County Charter , the Council , by
ordinance , may make supplemental appropriations for the year up to
the amount of available revenues .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Bill 132 and
recommends that it pass first reading .
