Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication 406,
reports as follows :
The purpose of Communication 406 is to confirm or deny the
appointment of Mr . Robert Paddock to the Civil Service Commission for
a term to expire December 31, 1990 . A representative for the Kona `
district, Mr . Paddock will fill the expired term of Mr . James Akoni .
Pursuant to Section 76-71, Hawaii Revised Statutes , and
Section 7-1 .2, Hawaii County Charter , members of the Civil Service
Commission shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the
Council .
Your Committee on Finance recommends approval of the appointment of
Mr . Robert Paddock to the Civil Service Commission.
