Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication 404,
reports as follows :
The purpose of Communication 404 is to confirm or deny the
appointment of Ms. Gayle S. Takeya to the Board of Ethics for a term
to run through December 31, 1990 . A resident of Hilo, she will be `
replacing Rankin C. Gossert whose term has expired .
Pursuant to Sections 14-5 and 13-4 of the Hawaii County Charter ,
members of the Board of Ethics shall be appointed by the Mayor and
confirmed by the Council .
Your Committee on Finance recommends approval of the appointment of
Ms . Gayle S. Takeya to the Board of Ethics .
