Your Committee on Finance , to which was referred Resolution 114-86 ,
reports as follows :
The purpose of Resolution 114-86 is to amend the Salary Ordinance as
follows:
Section 8 .09(c ) Maintenance Division, Department of Parks &
Recreation.
1 . Add one new position of Parks Caretaker I WB-2
2. Reallocate one position of Mechanical Repair Helper WB-5 to
Mechanical Repairer-Welder WB-10 .
Justification for the new position cites the increased acreage and
responsibility in the Parks and Recreation Department. The
reallocation is justified by a large increase in repairs for
island-wi'de parks equipment and having staffing of two individuals
responsible for doing all of the welding repair work .
Pursuant to Section 3-14, Hawaii County Charter , interim amendments
to the pay plan may be made by resolution.
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of
Resolution 114-86 and recommends its adoption .
