Your Committee on Finance , to which was referred Resolution 108-85,
reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution 108-85 is to amend the Salary Ordinance and
its specific Section 8 .08 (b) , Building Division, Department of
Public Works, by reallocating one position of Civil Engineer V SR-26
1 to Civil Engineer VI SR-28 , and reallocating one position of Plumbing
Inspector SR-19 to Civil Engineer V SR-26.
Justifications for the reallocations were based on the newly
authorized program for code enforcement and building permit
processing in Kona .
Pursuant to Section 3-14, Hawaii County Charter , interim amendments
to the Salary Ordinance may be made by resolution .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of
Resolution 108-85 and recommends its adoption .
