Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 91, reports as
follows:
The purpose of Bill 91 is to amend Ordinance 85-52, the Operating
Budget , by increasing revenues of $500 to Account 3607 received as a
contribution from a private source and appropriate same to
expenditure Account #010-523-5523.46-341 Panaewa Zoo - Private
Donations .
The money is a grant from the HPM Foundation and will be used to
continue making the zoo a more enjoyable place for all county
citizens .
Pursuant to Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter , the Council may
accept gifts of donations of money.
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Bill 91 and
recommends that it pass first reading; further suggests a letter be
forwarded to Mr . R. (Bobby) Fujimoto, Trustee of the HPM Foundation,
expressing the Council 's gratitude .
