Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 89, reports as
follows:
The purpose of Bill 89 is to amend Section 19-97 of the Hawaii County
Code relating to additional boards of review.
The ordinance will provide for enabling legislation should an
additional board of review be needed in the future. The creation of
the additional tax review board will be at the discretion of the
Finance Director and shall conform to Section 19-97 of the
Hawaii County Code which currently regulates the existing tax review
board .
Pursuant to Section 3-15 , Hawaii County Code, the County Code
containing all County ordinances may be amended from time to time .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Bill 89 and
recommends that it pass first reading .
