Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution 102-85,
reports as follows :
The purpose of Resolution 102-85 is to amend the Salary Ordinance and
its specific Section 8.09 (e ) by adding a new position of
Clerk-Typist (1/2 T) SR-8 in the Senior Community Service Employment
Program, Parks and Recreation Department .
The cost of $6,300 for this new position shall be paid by Federal
funds . Justification for this new position is that a Senior
Community Service Employment Program enrollee has been utilized to
assist with program administration. However , as of August 29, 1985 ,
the enrollee will not be eligible to participate in the SCSE Program
due to income criteria. Therefore, a one-half time position is now
needed to compensate for the loss of manpower in the administrative
duties .
Pursuant to Section 3-14, Hawaii County Charter , interim amendments
to the Salary Ordinance may be made by resolution .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of
Resolution 102-85 and recommends its adoption .
